In 1929, negotiations were started towards the establishment of a Czech school in Brumovice. In the village there were several Czech school-bound children from mixed marriages, from the families of Czech agricultural workers and from the families of civil servants, who attended the local five-grade German municipal school. A preliminary census of Czech children was carried out at the beginning of 1929 by František Hoza, the administrator of the Czech State General School in Skrochovice, with František Pavlas, a respite from the financial guard in Skrochovice, and Eduard Dopita, the warden of the Chetnik station in Brumovice, who devotedly supported the efforts towards the establishment of a Czech school in Brumovice. The negotiations ran into various difficulties, as agricultural workers of Czech nationality employed by German farmers were afraid to send their children to a Czech school, lest their German employers fire them. During the census, the harmful influence of mixed marriages became apparent, as the children from these marriages were brought up in German and did not know the Czech language at all. During this preliminary census, 13 children were registered at the Czech school in Brumovice. Matice Opavská in Opava then submitted an application to the Ministry of Education and National Education in Prague for the establishment of a Czech state school in Brumovice, which the ministry favorably disposed of and, by decree of August 22, 1929, established a general school in Brumovice with the Czechoslovak language of instruction.
From August 25, 1929, František Dorazil was appointed the first teacher and administrator of the Czech state general school in Brumovice. He joined Brumovice on August 25, 1929, where he was received by doctor František Šťepán and his entire family and the family of guard Eduard Dopita.
At the end of August 1929, additional enrollment of pupils in the Czech general school was carried out. 14 new pupils signed up, and together with the pupils who had previously registered, a total of 27 pupils, mostly from mixed marriages, who had been attending the local five-grade German general school, were enrolled. The first school year at the Czech general school was solemnly opened on September 2, 1929. Regular school classes began on September 7, when the internal equipment was delivered to the school. Of the enrolled children, only 6 spoke Czech. The other children had to learn the Czech language. However, the children soon got used to the school, they enjoyed attending it, and the initial language difficulties were overcome by Christmas.
On October 10, 1929, assistant teacher Vilém Juchelka joined the local school, who taught the second grade until December 15, 1929. Josef Novák took his place.
