The village of Stará Červená Voda with a population of around 630 people is located in the district of Jeseník and consists of the settlements of Stará, Nová and Dolní Vody in the valley of the Červeného potok. The origin of the name reflects the color of the stream or the bottom of the stream. The cadastral area of the village is approx. 3669 ha and is among the largest in the region. Its territory is covered by 38% agricultural land and 58% forest. One of the local monuments is a massive memorial large-leaved linden tree, which grows in a part of the village of Nová Červená Voda. Stará Červená Voda is located at the foot of Sokolí hřbet, which belongs to the Rychleb Mountains, which is the largest rock formation in the village, which is called Sedm skal. Mountain bike lovers can also use the routes of unique trails in the vicinity of Stará Červené Vody.
