Postřelmov is a village of 3, 000 inhabitants in the Olomouc region, Šumperk district. It is located in flat terrain at an altitude of 284 m. The Desná River flows into the Morava River in its cadastre.
The first written mention of Postřelmov dates back to 1349. There are several listed buildings in the village. The most important of them is the tomb of the Bukůvk family from Bukůvka.
Postřelmov lies on the route between the town of Zábřeh and Šumperk. It has good rail and road connections in the direction of Olomouc, Zábřeh, Šumperk, Jeseník. This very convenient transport connection enriches the local business and public life.
The village has good civic amenities - a health center, a primary and kindergarten school, a pension for pensioners, a rich network of shops and services, a cultural center and a multi-purpose gymnasium.
