The village of Horní Studénky is located in a high valley, on the western edge of the hilly terrain of Zábřeh Highlands (460 - 590 m above sea level), 12 km from Zábřeh na Mor. and 5 km from the Shields.
  The first written mention of the village dates from 1353.It is clear that the village was settled even before this date. The church is documented already in 1531. Leonard, who was a famous place of pilgrimage, was built 1666 - 1672 and replaced the older, wooden. The first mention of the pilgrimage dates back to 1620. In 1734, cloisters were built around the church to protect the pilgrims from discomfort. Since this year, its noble owners can also be watched.
  The presbytery has been in its present form since 1788. The school in the village was already before 1786. In 1908, the teaching moved to a new building, where it still teaches.
