The village of Brníčko and the local part of Strupšín are located in the Olomouc Region in the valley of the Loučský brook 9 km south of Šumperk. In 1976, the formerly independent Strupšín was annexed to Brníček as its local part. The inhabited parts of Brníček are located at an altitude of about 300 m in the hilly terrain of the Úsovská Highlands east of Zábřeh. The village is mentioned in 1350 together with the castle of the same name, the ruins of which rise on a hill (403 m) above the village. The village has a primary school and kindergarten, library, post office, two grocery and grocery stores, two restaurants, a hairdresser, in the center of the village there is a football field. The late Romanesque church of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary from the 13th century is remarkable. The village is supplied with drinking water from the tap. As of 1 January 2012, the municipality had 637 inhabitants.
