Korytná has its formerly famous spring of mineral water. Thanks to the sulphurous smell, it bears a slightly derogatory name "Smraďačka". The spring can be found in the forest (N 48 ° 55 ‘33‘ ‘, E 17 ° 41‘ 58 ‘‘) above the village at a height of 432 m above sea level. The mineral water contains an abundance of sulfur, salt and also healing clay. Unfortunately, the fame of the Korytňany Smraďačka disappeared, probably due to its remoteness. Among the well-known natives and friends of the village is the teacher Josef B. Kolář - Kochovský, who wrote several books of poems and prose, taking ideas from Slovácko. Another was Ferdinand Tomek, who together with the director Josef Stivar dealt with music and ethnography. Academic painter Vojtěch Preissig took a lot of ideas from Korytná. A native of Korytná, Ing. Dr. Jan Juřena.
