The main task of the Zlín State District Archive is to collect, secure, professionally process and make available archival documents in the Zlín district.
Currently, more than 4, 500 ordinary meters of archival materials and 1, 702 archival funds are stored in our depositories.
We mainly store documents of administrative offices of the district, the judiciary, cities and municipalities, schools, parishes, associations, etc.
The oldest documents date from the 14th century.
A research room is available to the public, where those interested can study archival documents.
The archive also includes an extensive specialist library with 29, 000 volumes and a photo archive.
In the years 1979–2002, the archive published the collection "Zlínsko from the past to the present".
