Pardubice is one of the most beautiful towns in East Bohemia. It lies at the confluence
Elbe and Chrudimka rivers.
The first preserved mention of the existence of Pardubice dates from 1295.
Already with city rights, he inherited the city
in 1340 Arnošt from Pardubice.
In 1491 he bought Pardubice
William of Pernštejn, the most powerful
nobleman of the then Czech kingdom.

Culture and sport are integral to the life of contemporary Pardubice.
The University of Pardubice is located here, you can find the East Bohemian Museum, the East Bohemian Gallery, the Chamber Philharmonic and the East Bohemian Theater here. Other traditional sporting events are junior tennis, the speedway Golden Helmet and the Czech open international chess tournament.
The city of Pardubice and its beautiful surroundings are definitely worth seeing, admiring the view from the Green Gate, riding on a cruise ship, or immersing yourself in the greenery along the Elbe and Chrudimka rivers, either on foot or by bike.
