The town of Třemošnice is located in the central part of the Iron Mountains.
Today's Třemošnice has over 3, 000 inhabitants and presents a wide range of options for tourists.
According to surviving reports, the village was founded on the site of the former settlement of Vejborno around 1600.
The square was newly built in 1999.
The establishment of an iron smelter in Hedvičina údolí in 1816 had a great influence on the dynamic development of Třemošnice.
The origin of the name of the town of Třemošnice comes from the times when stremchy trees grew abundantly in this area (territory overgrown with stremoch) and Třemošnice came into being through various language adjustments and changes.
