ŽIVANICE MUNICIPALITY
Živanice is an ancient settlement. As early as 1226, a document from the Doksanský monastery mentions them, that Živanice was probably founded in 1145
The name of the village Živanice probably originated from the old personal name Živaň, formed from the root Živ. (opinion of Brno University professor Mr. Trávníček).
Under Emperor Joseph II. a school was established in Živanice, children studied in No. 15. In 1796, the Pardubice nobility decided to build a school.
