The village of Barchov (248 m.a.s.l.) is located between Hradec Králové and Nový Bydžov on a regular bus route. The oldest building in the village is a baroque castle built in 1737 by Kryštof Norbert Voračicky from Paběnice. Other monuments are the statues of St. Joseph, St. Francis Xavier and St. John of Nepomuck and a brick belfry with a bell from 1777, located in the cadastre of the village.
the village has approximately 250 inhabitants who commute to work in nearby towns or work in an agricultural agro-combination. There is a grocery and general store in the village, 14 entrepreneurs work here in fields ranging from software sales to painting and turning work to the sale of detergents. From September to May, every Friday in the village there is a disco with a light show for hundreds of visitors.
