Špindlerův Mlýn is already referred to in older literature as the "pearl of the Krkonoše Mountains", mainly because of its unique location in the central part of the Krkonoše massif. Today's center of Špindlerův Mlýn is located at the confluence of the Elbe and the Dolský stream at an altitude of 710 m above sea level. Exceptional climatic conditions and diverse mountain nature contributed to the transformation of Špindlerův Mlýn from an original mining settlement into one of the most important and sought-after tourist centers in the Czech Republic. Wide possibilities for sports and active recreation are the main reasons why Špindlerův Mlýn has become a location visited all year round. Špindlerův Mlýn is not only an ideal place for all kinds of winter sports, especially skiing, but it also offers unique opportunities for alpine tourism, cycling and water sports. Visitors can expect dozens of accommodation and catering establishments, and you will be pleasantly surprised by the high level of service.
