The village of Vysoká Pec is located in the district of Chomutov in the Ústí Region. It lies at an altitude of 336 m on an area of 1957 ha.
It has 1051 inhabitants.
It consists of three parts: Vysoká Pec, Drmaly and Pyšná.
The first written mention of the village dates from 1693. In the past, brown coal and ore were mined here.

In the fall of 1991, a kindergarten was put into operation, and in the same year, one class of the elementary school was also reopened (it was closed in 1965). Today, the local school already has two classes. Private companies began to emerge, e.g. the purchase of non-ferrous metals, a car repair shop, the production of confectionery, and a bakery were opened here. The physical education unit Baník was also formed.
