Zelizy 46, Zelizy 277 21
Želízy is located in the district of Mělník in the Central Bohemian Region. The border of two protected areas, the Kokořínsko Protected Landscape Area and the Rymáň Nature Park, passes through the village and the Liběchovka river flows through it. On their banks, to the north of the village, there is a nature reserve "Wetlands Dolní Liběchovky". Želízy is an old Slavic village and the first written mention dates back to 1360. At present, our village has 506 permanent residents.

In the village there is a small primary school with a capacity of 30
pupils as well as a kindergarten, which is equipped for 25 children.

The Kovárna Club in particular contributes to cultural activities, where smaller music productions are held, as well as sports events.

The village also has a civic association of the Choir of Voluntary Firefighters of Bohemia and Moravia Želízy, whose fire protection unit participates in the liquidation of various events within the IRS, not only in the village, but in neighboring communities.

Želízy is a popular tourist destination thanks to the sculptural art of Mr. Václav Levý, who in the first half of the 19th century created a complex of sculptures in the surrounding sandstone rocks by the Brocenská cesta. These are Harfenice, the chapel of Mary Magdalene and the relief of Hada nad Želízemi, then the Devil's Head, Klácelka and Blaník.
