Pracejovice is located in the South Bohemian Region in the district of Strakonice, on the right side of the Otava River in the flat landscape of the Strakonice Basin. It is situated at an altitude of 400 m above sea level and the first written mention of the village dates back to 1308. The village consists of two parts Pracejovice and Makarov. Currently, 324 permanent residents live here.
