Paračov is a small South Bohemian village located in the Šumava foothills in a well-preserved hilly landscape 10 km southeast of the town of Strakonice.
The first written mention of the village dates back to 1316. Currently, the village has 114 permanent residents.
Citizens can also use the municipal library and there is also a volunteer fire brigade that participates in the organization of social and cultural events.
In the center of the village of Paračov stands the church of St. Peter and Paul.
There are also two small ponds and a memorable Paračovská linden tree.
Cycle paths run through the village and there is also a local hiking trail.
