Božetice is located in South Bohemia in the district of Písek and is located near the town of Milevsko. The settlement of Ratihošť is also part of the municipality. Currently, 353 inhabitants live here. The name of the village means the village of the people of Božet or Božat. The first written mention dates back to 1291. The village of Božetice is a member of the Čechy nad zlato association, which was established in 1996 to protect the environment in areas threatened by the exploration of deposits and gold mining.
