The village of Kostelní Radouň is located in the district of Jindřichův Hradec in the South Bohemian Region. It is a very old village that was founded in the 13th century in connection with the colonization of the region.
The first mention of the village dates from 1296, when it is listed as Raduna magna and belonged to Jindřich Hradec.
Currently, 299 permanent residents live here and the area of the village occupies 585 hectares.
Interest organizations are active in the village: TJ Velká Radouň, SDH, hunting association and the municipal library.
A tennis, football and children's playground was built for the sports use of citizens. Sport fishing is possible on Návesní rybník.
There is also a shop and a restaurant in the village.
The tourist trail to Čertův kámen leads through the village and Račí potok flows here. There are many ponds in the cadastre of the village, the largest is Černoleský with an area of over 11 ha.
