The village of Milhostov is located in the district of Cheb. The village currently has about 333 inhabitants. The cadastre of the municipality also includes the municipalities of Hluboká, Dolní Částkov, Vackovec, Děvín, Doubrava. The dominant feature of the village is the church of St. Mikuláš, which is already owned by the municipality. The municipality acquired it free of charge from the church in 2008.
The hall of the Municipal Office is used by citizens for various celebrations, dance parties and sports purposes.
One association is registered in Milhostov, the Milhostov Hunting Association.
The village has a general store, a pub and two restaurants, one of which is in Dolní Částkov.
