The village of Šindelová is located in the Ore Mountains between the towns of Nejdek and Kraslice, directly below the main ridge of the Ore Mountains. The municipality manages parts of Krásná Lípa and Obora.

East of Šindelova is the natural monument Kamenný hřib - a bizarre grouping of boulders, an example of the natural weathering of granite.

The monument is the hunting lodge Favorit located in the forest about 1.5 km south of Šindelová. Today's neo-baroque form from 1904 to 1906 replaced the original castle, built in 1769. From its foundation until 1945, it was owned by the Nostic family and was visited by many important people, such as J. W. Goethe, Jan Evangelista Purkyně, King Alfonso XIII of Spain, Empress Sissi or General Patton. It was then used as a recreation center. Owned by a private company since the 1990s, in fall 2008 unused and dilapidated offered for sale.

In the neighborhood stands the wooden chapel of St. Hubert and the baroque statue of this saint.

There is a larch alley nearby.

The blast furnace, the torso of the iron blast furnace on the southwestern edge of the village, the remains of the smelters established in 1839. The building of the former ironworks is a technical monument.

The village has basic amenities that meet the requirements of local residents. There is a municipal office, a post office. Šindelová is located in a recreational area, the village has a natural swimming pool on the Tajch pond.
