Otmarov is a village in the district of Brno-venkov in the South Moravian region, in the Dyjsko-Svrateck valley. The cadastral territory of the village has an area of 125 ha. At a distance of 7 km to the northeast lies the city of Šlapanice, 12 km to the north the statutory city of Brno, 16 km to the east the city of Slavkov u Brno, 10 km to the south the city of Židlochovice and 22 km to the west the city of Ivančice.
The Dunávka River flows through the village.

About a kilometer north of present-day Otmarovo, there was once the settlement of Dunajovice, which most likely disappeared in the 15th century as a result of a fire and subsequent plague. Later, the Danube Pond was built here on the Danube in this area, which was drained in the 1870s.
Otmarov was founded in 1783 by the provost of the Rajhrad monastery, Otmar Konrád, after whom it is named. The new village was founded in memory of the defunct Dunajovice and at the wish of Emperor Josef II.
Since the 1950s, Otmarov has been part of Rajhradice, since February 28, 1990, it has been an independent municipality again.
