CARITAS - Higher Vocational School of Social Work
Olomouc, registered in the school register
of legal entities, was founded in 1995 at the initiative of the Archbishop of Olomouc, Mons. Jan Graubner.
Currently, the school offers quality education in two educational programs. It also offers university studies in cooperation with Cyrilometodějska
by the theological faculty of Palacký University in Olomouc (more at www.upol.cz).
Educational programs:
I. CHARITABLE AND SOCIAL WORK
The program is intended for those interested in social work
especially in the field of social services.
Graduates find employment in the sector
non-profit, church, state or
self-governing organizations. Form of study
daily and combined.
II. SOCIAL AND HUMANITARIAN WORK
The program focuses on the issue of work with
minorities, qualified assistance
migrants or immigrants and professional
acting as part of humanitarian aid.
The study covers a whole range
non-traditional learning activities and has
only day form. Both fields can be studied at the same time
to study as part of the university
Bachelor's degree. An organic part
teaching is professional practice.
The Social and Humanitarian Work program is the only one of its kind in the Czech Republic.
Studying at CARITAS - Social Higher Vocational School Olomouc is characterized by the possibility of completing a foreign internship in more than 40 countries on 4 continents. In total, the school cooperates with more than 200 facilities that provide social services.
In all cases, the duration of study is 3 years.
CARITAS - Higher Vocational School of Social Work is an educational institution also within its Education Center, which has trained more than 3, 000 workers in social services in the last two years alone.
Students of CARITAS - VOŠs Olomouc have the opportunity to implement themselves as part of the Kathkaris - Distance Adoption project, which they initiated, or the Scoha stories project, which grows with new clients' destinies with each return of students from foreign internships.
