The village of Budčeves is located in the Jičín district in the Hradec Králové region, approx. 16 km southwest of Jicin. Currently there live 157 inhabitants. The first written mention of the village dates from 1349. The village of Budčeves is one of the villages of old, purely Czech origin. In the 14th century there was a fortress in the village, which was in the 14th-15th century. century inhabited. The name of the village Budčeves originally comes from the original owner of the fortress and farm, "Budka" or "Budče" and therefore Budče-ves. The village consists of two parts, namely Budčeves and Nečas.
