The village of Hořany is located about 13 km from the town of Nymburk and is part of the Nymburk Microregion. It is situated at an altitude of 219 m above sea level and has an area of 379 ha. The first written mention of the village dates from 1282. Today, 132 inhabitants live in the village Hořany.
