The village of Okrouhlá is located in the district of Blansko, region of South Moravia. 607 inhabitants live here. The village is located in the beautiful environment of the Drahanská vrchovina in the protection zone of the Bělá water reservoir at a distance of 8 km from Boskovice.
The oldest historical report about the village is from 1447. The name of the village arose from the original shape of the village. Since 1850, the settlement of Melkov, located about 1 kilometer west of the village, has been part of the village.
The cross on the village square near the bell tower is the only cultural monument in the village of Okrouhlá.
In the village, we have a cultural center with a gymnasium, a multi-purpose sports field for most ball games, a small football field, a track for mountain bike races. There is a daycare center in the village.
We have companies from the field of sales, hospitality, construction, carpentry, carpentry, plumbing, transport, hairdressing, tailoring. The agricultural land is managed by ZD Skály, which deals with plant and animal production.
In terms of climate, the territory of the municipality belongs to a slightly warm area with a prevailing westerly flow. The annual rainfall total is 600 to 750 mm. In the cadastral territory, 45% of the land is forested, 47% is agricultural land, and the rest is other and built-up land. All plots fall within the 2nd protection zone of the Bělá water reservoir and part of the cadastre falls within the quiet area of Řehořkovo Kořenecko.
There is a nice view of the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands from Kudlinka (638 m), which is located just above the village. In the cadastral territory, 45% of forest areas are, the rugged terrain attracts tourists.
