The village of Maňovice is located in the district of Klatovy in the Pilsen region and ranks among the municipalities with the lowest number of inhabitants in the Czech Republic.

It is located at an altitude of 520 m above sea level and its area is 283 hectares.

The first written mention of the village comes from 1366, it is a document dated April 23, written by Bušek from Osek due to disputes over land boundaries between him and the parish priest from Velké Bor.

Maňovice currently has 47 permanent residents.

Today, a six-sided reconstructed chapel with a conical roof and bell tower stands in the village. There are also several memorial crosses, the torment of God, memorials to the victims of the war and also a stone dragon from 1905 with a walled stone enclosure and a wrought iron fence.
