Architect Michael Kocych was born in 1973 in Frýdek-Místek, where he graduated from the Petr Bezruč grammar school (1988-1992) and the Faculty of Architecture of the Czech Technical University in Prague (1992-1999), internship at Atelier A Praha (1997-2001), in 2001 founded an independent architectural studio in his own studio Kocych Architects, since 2003 oriented towards the creation of ecological, low-energy and passive architecture, especially in the field of European wooden buildings, in July 2009 founded the architectural studio Michael Kocych Architects. The passive house in Frýdek-Místek by architect Michael Kocych became the first wooden building in our country to receive the SBToolCZ quality certificate. The certificate issued by an independent certification body - the Technical and Testing Institute of Construction in Prague - is proof that the building meets demanding quality criteria in accordance with the principles of sustainable development.
