CI2, o.p.s. is a non-governmental, non-profit organization focused on sustainable development, education, publishing and science and research. Its goal is to promote sustainable development in cooperation with public administration, the private sector, educational institutions and the public.
We focus in particular on the following areas:
- monitoring sustainability indicators
- determining the carbon and ecological footprint
- environmental reporting
CI2, o.p.s. was created through the transformation of the non-profit organization Iris, o.p.s. in January 2013. Its activity is based on more than fifteen years of experience of the organization's representatives – Mgr. Josef Novák, Ph.D. and RNDr. Viktor Třebickeho, Ph.D. - from working in the non-profit sector - at the Institute for Ecopolitics, o.p.s. and especially in the Team Initiative for Local Sustainable Development, o.s. (TIMUR). Here, they significantly participated in the implementation of non-profit projects and co-created the basic direction of the functioning of both organizations.
Organization CI2, o.p.s. thus, it takes over activities connected with the monitoring and evaluation of the local sustainability of cities and municipalities in the Czech Republic. These are mainly indicators from the ECI set and the ecological and carbon footprint.
