The village of Vendryně, located in the foothills of the Těšín Beskydy, is one of the oldest settlements in the region of Eastern Silesia.
The first mention of the village dates back to 1305. Already at that time there was a church in Vendryna, which some researchers consider to be
one of the oldest in Těšín. There is still a valuable bell from the first half of the 15th century made by the Kraków bell maker Johann Freudental. In Vendryna there was also a manor house built in the 16th century. It belonged to it
also a brewery, where excellent beer was brewed, competing even with Těšín beer. The development of Vendryně took place in the 19th century in connection with the establishment of Třinec ironworks. The Vendrynska lime plant supplied lime for the smelters, which employed the citizens of Vendrynka in abundance. In the eighties of the 20th century, Vendryně became part of Třinec. Since 1995, the village has been independent again.
