Under the name Vojtěchov, later Vojtěchovice, now Vojkovice are recorded as early as 1300. Originally there were about 10 larger farms. The village belonged to Prince Frýdek-Místek and was later sold to Tluk of Tošanovice. People rode the robot to Dobrá, Raškovice and Bruzovice. Work was done up to 100 days a year.
When the Těšínská estate built a pub in the village around 1700, there was a greater prosperity in the village. Wagons, a post office, cattle hunters stopped here, and everyone bought supplies for the next trip. The village began to grow. In 1890, a chapel was built near the forest.
A school was built in 1949 and rebuilt in 1972.
In 1975, the village of Vojkovice lost its independence and was incorporated into the village of Dobrá.
In the following years, the development in the village stopped. The construction of family houses was banned and in 1979 school teaching was abolished.
New development did not occur until 1990 after the fall of the totalitarian regime in November 1989. In November 1990, the first elections to the Vojkovice municipal council took place. Mr. Ing. Ladislav Obluk.
