The Zdeněk Jor company produces and sells hay pellets.
It is a modern and ecological alternative to traditional non-ecological fossil fuels such as coal, natural gas, oil and, in many cases, electricity. Pellets are highly compressed granules with a cross-section of 6 to 30 mm and are produced exclusively from biomass without any additional mixtures, binders or adhesives. The only binder is a purely natural organic compound contained in the cell walls of plants - LIGNIN. Pellets are most often made from wood residues (sawdust, shavings) or plants (hay, straw). We provide pellets with a cross-section of 6 mm, made only from hay.
The calorific value of these pellets is 18-19 MJ/Kg, which ranks them between black and brown coal in the ranking of fuels. The difference between wood and hay pellets is only in the input raw material. Hay pellets and briquettes have a comparable calorific value as wood pellets or briquettes.
