The village of Hořovičky is located in the northwestern part of the Rakovník district, in a picturesque valley, surrounded by forests, meadows and fields. The development of the village is located on the edge of the valley above the Ochihovecký stream in an important hop growing area. The municipal office also administers the settlements of Bukov, Hokov and Vrbice.

The first written mention of the village dates from 1392. There are currently approximately 460 inhabitants living in Hořovičky.
