We know the first written mention of Líbeznice from 1236, the record is written in medieval Latin and can be found in the Regesta Bohemiae et Moraviae I edition. He renounces the recovery of all benefits - especially oxen and other domestic animals - and dedicates the farm (villa Lubeznic) to the Prague Chapter, which was represented by Canon Marquard.
At the end of the 13th century (1294), Libezníce was divided between the chapter of St. Vitus and Vyšehrad, to which both natural and monetary benefits flowed from the village. In the 14th century, Líbeznice still belongs to the property of the canons of Svatovít and Vyšehrad.
Líbeznice became the center of the nearby area due to its location, church and school
