The village of Bělušice belongs to the Polabí region and is located in the district of Kolín in the Central Bohemian Region approx. 11 km northeast of Cologne. Currently, approx. live here permanently. 320 inhabitants.
The first written mention of the village of Bělušice dates from 1356. The name "Bělušice" is derived from the personal name Bělúš meaning the village of the Bělúš people. In historical sources, the name appears in the forms: Byelussicz (1356–1360), "in Byelussiczych" (1415), in Bělušice (1497) and Bieluschitz (1837). Among the cultural monuments of the village is the belfry, the construction of which was agreed to by the municipal council under the condition that it would not represent any religious symbol and would not be consecrated. Inside the belfry is a cross from 1883, which originally stood on the site of the belfry.
Local citizens have a multi-purpose sports and children's playground, cultural facilities, and a library at their disposal to use their free time. The village is fully gasified. There are organizations - Voluntary Fire Protection Corps, Sokol Bělušice and Fishermen.
There is a memorable linden tree in Bělušice, and visitors to the village will certainly be attracted by the modified semi-trailer. In the vicinity of the village you will find a pleasant landscape full of forests, which are ideal for picking mushrooms and also blueberries.
