Hospice is a specific medical facility
a facility that helps severely and terminally ill people to live the last period of life in a dignified manner and, if possible, in the family circle. It guarantees that patients will not suffer excruciating pain, that their human dignity will be respected at all times, and that they will not be left alone in their last moments of life.
Any sick person can be admitted to the hospice, regardless of age, gender, nationality, race, social status or religion. Preference is mainly given to terminally ill people with progressive oncological disease, in the terminal phase of life.
