The Příbor Museum was founded in 1912 on the initiative of the Museum and Industrial Union in Příbor, which in 1911 acquired collections from World War II. landscape exhibitions of northeastern Moravia. Already in April 1913, the collections were opened to the public in the building of the former town hall. During II. after World War II, the museum faced financial problems and a lack of space. After 1945, it was placed in the building of the former Piarist dormitory. Until 1964, the museum was under the municipal administration, and then it became a branch of the then Institute of History, today the Museum of Novojičín. Currently, the museum offers its visitors the exhibition Memorial Hall of the Příbor native Sigmund Freud and one exhibition hall.
